ETHOS Wants The Young Musicians In Your Family?

(MURFREESBORO) The Ethos Youth Ensembles is a non-profit youth orchestra that's based here in Murfreesboro, and they looking for talent for the children's choir, beginning string lessons, a jazz band, and three youth orchestras. Attend a meeting at 2PM Sunday (9/16/2018) at MTSU's Wright Music Building.

As they begin their twenty second season, coordinators are looking for kindergarten through the second grade students who are interested in being a part children's choir, beginning string lessons, a jazz band, and three youth orchestras.

The Children's Choir is newest addition to the Ethos Youth Ensembles. Under the Direction of local music educator Rachel Lapinsky, the Ethos Children's Choir will serve students from Rutherford and surrounding counties.

Students in the second through fifth grades can also take group lessons for beginners on violin, viola, cello, or bass with the Ethos Music Academy. Last year, Academy students teamed up with older students in the Ethos Youth Orchestras to perform arrangements of major symphonic repertoire at Ethos subscription concerts.

Older students can also audition to join the Ethos Camerata Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, and Jazz Band. Auditions for the Ethos Wind Symphony will take place this November.

Interested families should attend the Ethos kick-off meeting at 2:00 o'clock Sunday afternoon, September 16, 2018 at 2pm at MTSU's Wright Music Building.
