Murfreesboro Parks & Rec. Dept. Fall Break Fun Week was a week of activities for kids out on Fall Break from area schools as well anyone else in the community that wanted to participate in activities that the Wilderness Station had to offer.

Nature walks and games, roasting hot dogs and marshmallows around a campfire started the week off. As the week progressed, participants learn about several different species of Tennessee wildlife, took a hike on the parks paved trail at Barfield Park and learn how to create several different camp fire crafts.

The final day was an opportunity to kayak on the Stones River. Rain showers didn't stop the activity as several brave souls took to the water Friday afternoon.
