A fatal crash takes the life of a Murfreesboro man on North Thompson Lane near the Stone River National Battlefield.

Murfreesboro Police spokesman Officer Amy Norville tells NewsRadio WGNS it occurred just before 10pm Sunday. The crash involved a single vehicle, a 2016 Harley Davidson Street Glide Motorcycle, which was travelling northbound on North Thompson Lane.

Norville says the motorcycle left the travel lane and struck a concrete curb which caused the driver to be ejected and sustain life ending injuries.

The driver was identified as 39-year old William Jonathan Lee of Murfreesboro.

The Fatal Accident Crash Team will complete the investigation of the crash.
