In LaVergne, police are on the lookout for two men who shot a victim multiple times in front of two young children during a home invasion. The shooting occurred on Hickory Street at 3-AM, this Tuesday morning. Apparently, four adults and two children were staying at the home and were new to the area.

The victim was identified as 26-year old Randy Malone. Police say he was pistol whipped and then shot multiple times. He was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville where he is said to be in critical but stable condition.

The two gunmen were wearing hoodies and one had his face covered with a bandana. They have not been caught. The reason for the home invasion has not been determined.
