First National Bank's Mortgage Services In Historic Home

On Friday (12/2/2016) First National Bank celebrated the renovation of a 125-year old home at 111 North Maple Street, that is now their mortgage services department.

Vice President and Manager of First National Bank of Murfreesboro Freda Morgan was making visitors feel at home, while tours of the historic renovation were being offered.

Becky Walker told us that the home was built in 1880 on a 20-acre tract of land. 136-years ago the home would have been considered to be in a rural part of Murfreesboro. She had much information on the history of the home . . .

SAE fraternity (Sigma Alpha Epsilon) that was chartered at MTSU on December 13, 1969 and moved-in around that time. Walker says the bank uncovered a rich area of the frat's history starting with the basement stairs and room below ground level . . .
