Focus on Middle Tennessee State University.

Segment #1: Shane Smith and Sean Martin tell about the MTSU Charlie Daniels' Veterans & Military Family Center. It helps both students who have served in the military as well as others who are not students, but have served our country. They have a "transition home" that provides a place to "stay" while they help with a "place of employment".

Segment #2: New MTSU Vice Provost for Research and Dean of the College of Graduate Studies, Dr. David Butler, tells about his goals of expanding the graduate degrees. He explained that in the 1960's a high school diploma was the key to a job and the Bachelor's degree was the "bump up" to a better job. Today the Bachelor's degree is the key and the Master's and higher is the "bump up". His goal is to make MTSU not just the largest undergrad university in the state, but the largest university in Tennessee.

Segment #3: Connie Huddleston and Dr. Derek Frisby tell about "Lifelong Learning" program at MTSU's Ingram Building (former N. Blvd. Church, 2269 Middle TN Blvd.) on Monday, May 1, 8, 15 and 22. This is for "older learners" and does not have homework or exams. Studies include (1) Reflections on Vietnam, (2) Jazz Transition in the '60s, and (3) Eastern Philosophy.
