Segment #1: Dr. David Urban, dean of the Jones College of Business, tells about the upcoming "Start It Up" conference from 11:30AM-2:15PM on Friday, October 27, 2017 at the Embassy Suites. Segment #2: Dr. Mary Evins, an associate research professor at MTSU's University Honors College and coordinator for MTSU's American Democracy Project, and Deborah Fisher, director of the John Seigenthaler Chair of Excellence in First Amendment Studies at MTSU. The 230th anniversary of the signing of the Constitution was yesterday (Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017). MTSU's 2017 Constitution Day Celebration will be from 2:30-4:00PM Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017, in the Tennessee Room at the James Union Building. Judges Panel, and more. It is free and open to the public. The First Amendment Encyclopedia, which is free to access at http://mtsu.edu/first-amendment/, contains more than 1,500 essays and articles about court decisions and doctrines; people, law and events; and general issues and organizations significant in the history of the First Amendment in the United States.

Segment #3: Rhonda King, assistant director, MTSU Alumni Relations, tells about MTSU's 2017 Homecoming (Oct. 6-7, 2017) with MTSU hosting Florida International University at Floyd Stadium.
