The food drive at The Alley on Main in Murfreesboro continues:
Smyrna resident Kate Frye and The Alley on Main restaurant in Murfreesboro are partnering with Move For Hunger, a national non-profit organization, to host a holiday food drive now through December 31. The drive started in November and is still going strong.
Local residents are encouraged to bring non-perishable, holiday-themed food items, such as instant potatoes, stuffing, gravy, and cranberry sauce, to The Alley on Main to help local families who are struggling to find their next meal.
Armstrong Relocation of Nashville has been generous enough to provide boxes for the collection, and will deliver all of the donations to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee.
