The lawsuit against a former Rutherford County Sheriff's school resource officer has been settled.
A lawsuit against John Heath has been settled for 15-thousand dollars, according to a report from the Tennessee Radio Network.
Rutherford County paid 14-thousand dollars and Heath one-thousand dollars.
Heath was released as SRO at Blackman Middle School in 2016 for inappropriate conduct toward a student and the student's mother. The lawsuit revealed Heath allegedly asked the student's mother for inappropriate photos and reportedly retaliated against the student when advances were turned away.
