A female tried to pass off a fraudulent check in Murfreesboro at the Cornerstone Bank on Northfield Boulevard. The teller told officers the woman used what is suspected as being a stolen ID when she tried to cash the $1,200 check.

The bank was able to obtain tag numbers on the suspect vehicle, which returned as "STOLEN" out of Portland, Tennessee.

By the time the police arrived, the woman was gone. So far an arrest has not been made.
