Emergency responders were called to a motorcycle crash on East Jefferson Pike shortly before 6:00 o'clock Friday night.

The call came-in to 9-1-1 at 5:56 Friday evening. The accident occurred in a curve near 1025 East Jefferson Pike. Initial reports indicated that a car and motorcycle were involved, however--once on the scene, first responders from the Walter Hill Volunteer Fire Department discovered that only a bike was involved. Rutherford County Emergency Medical Service rushed the motorcyclist to the ER at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital.

The Rutherford County Sheriffs Office is in charge of the crash investigation.
