Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation Department will host its annual Greenway Arts Festival at Old Fort Park along the Stones River Greenway on September 20, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Over 70 talented artists from the Middle Tennessee area and a few surrounding states will display and sell their work along the Greenway trail at Old Fort Park. Patrons can browse through booths of original artwork in a family friendly park setting. Oils, acrylics, watercolors, pottery, sculpture, and other original artwork will be available, as well as music, food vendors and kids' art activities.

"There are many unique items at the event this year", said Melinda Tate, festival organizer. "The styles run from very traditional to eclectic. If you've ever wanted custom artwork, this is a good way to visit with several artists and see their style."

Popular local musicians Larry Pinkerton and Rik Gracia will play along the trail throughout the day.

This is a juried festival and is sponsored by Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation Department, and Friends of the Greenway.
