Central Magnet School was full of the past Saturday night as the fifth annual Super Trivia Bowl packed its gym. The night began at 6:00 o'clock as teams of six competed by answering questions about the odd and unusual.

There were forty-five teams competing in the fun event at Central.

Congratulations to the four top teams: (1) The Ashkickers, (2) The Quizzards of Oz, (3) Tipps for Life, and (4) Team U.S.

Officials report that the teams all did extremely well. In fact, several ties threw the rankings off, and that is why a Central spokesperson only listed the top four positions.

Middle Tennessee State University had two outstanding teams in the event. One was headed by the College of Liberal Arts Dean Mark Byrnes, while the other Blue Raider Team was directed by Honors College Dean John Vile. MTSU also took honors as having the "best table". The university helped with the fundraiser by again offering the popular "Rent A Genius" where teams could choose having the "genius" as a seventh member of their team or simply decide at the beginning of each round, whether or not to pay for the services during that round. All of the "Rent-A-Genius" individuals were CMS students.

With teams paying $175 to participate and individual tickets selling for $30 each, the night turned into a successful fund raiser for Central Magnet School.

There was much work put into this creative fund raiser by students, their parents and faculty members.
