Local dance fitness community, REFIT® will host the "REFIT® for a Reason" benefit to help the Salvation Army on August 22 from 8:30 am-1:30 pm at the Salvation Army gym on 1137 W. Main St in Murfreesboro. Tickets are $10 at the door. All proceeds from the event will go to help rebuild The Salvation Army Family Store on South Front St that was completely damaged on June 23rd in a storm. According to Captain Monica Seiler, the store will be closed for repairs for 4 more months and loses an estimated $20,000 per month in revenue. Around $102,000 is needed to sustain current operations and help get TSA Family Store reopened.

The August 22 event will include 3 hours of fun dance cardio provided by some of the best local REFIT® and Zumba® dance cardio instructors. There will be a silent auction with items donated by local businesses including Dance Murfreesboro, Altar'd State, Andrew Allen Morton photography, Sunshine Nutrition, and more. There will be exciting vendors to browse including health and wellness items, jewelry and skin care. Rachel Holder featured on WSMV Channel 4's More at Midday show will be on site doing several Juicing demos. There will be fun for all and an opportunity for the community to support the Salvation Army.

"I'm amazed at the outpouring of generosity in the Murfreesboro Community. Every business we've contacted to donate auction items has been willing. We'd love to help the Salvation Army get closer to their needed amount of $102,000." says, Lacey Garrett, certified REFIT® instructor, who came up with the idea to give back to the Salvation Army since they allow her to teach REFIT® in their gym on W. Main St. on Saturdays at 9am.
