Members of the Murfreesboro Police Gang Unit with the assistance of the Narcotics and Special Operations Units served a search warrant at a home located on Bradyville Pike last month. The investigation led to the arrest of three men named Jeremy Scott Yeargins, 26, Coryokis Scruggs, 26 and Deaundra Brooks, 23.

Police say that when they arrived at the home they found Yeargins in the back seat of a Mustang parked behind the house. When he saw the police he took off on foot. He was caught a short distance away after a passing motorist stopped to help officers. Police found that he had crack cocaine, XANAX pills and cocaine in his possession after capturing him. He also had five active warrants out of Nashville.

During questioning, Yeargins told police he had been selling drugs since he was 12. He told officers his career started in Nashville and eventually moved to Rutherford County just one year ago.

A man by the name of Coryokis Scruggs was outside of the home when authorities arrived. He was arrested because he too had five warrants out of Nashville. A police report shows that Scruggs had cocaine and marijuana hidden in his buttocks when he was detained.

Deundra Brooks was in a rear bedroom of the home when police entered. Brooks had an active warrant and was taken to the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center.

Inside the home police found two handgun magazines, ammunition, cocaine, Oxycodone and crack.

Yeargins and Scruggs are confirmed gang members of West Side Rollin' 60's Neighborhood Crip Street Gang, originating in Los Angeles, California. The report that WGNS obtained on Wednesday stated, "Through this investigation it was determined that gang members were utilizing 1442 Bradyville Pike as a safe haven for their criminal activity."

To make matters worse, it was learned that a juvenile child lives at the address where the gang members operate. The Department of Children Services has opened an investigation into the case as well.
