Generation for Creation Honoring Grandparents and Looking for Talented Children

Youth will compete in categories of drama, singing, art, dance, modeling, and instrumental.

Those competing in the September 10th talent event will receive first, second, and third place trophies in each category. One overall grand prize, $500, will be awarded sponsored by local businesses and donors announced at the event.

Special Guest Performances by: Seniors Acting Up, Mary Grace Williams, Casey Lewis, Debria Tyler, Quantorius Rankins with his Grandmother, and the Generation for Creation After School Drama Class with Boys and Girls Club Members.

Generation for Creation will be honoring grandparents that evening (9/10/16) for upcoming Grandparent's Day. Nominate the Best Grandparent by going to the website: www.gfckidz.org.

Columbia, Tenn., native Lynnette Cole, International Spokes Model for Pur Minerals and former Miss USA will serve as the returning mistress of ceremonies for this year's GFC talent show sponsored by the Tennessee Art Commission.

Cole teaches the contestants tips on professional stage etiquette. Cole said, "Each year my spirit is renewed knowing that Generation for Creation exists, giving children a place to encourage, develop, create and express their talents.

Quantorius Rankins, 2015 winner of Talent Contest is now a freshman at University of Memphis. He had a great year showing his modeling, dance, and singing skills.
