An opening reception is scheduled for Thursday, March 21 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. so that the student-artists, their families, their teachers, and the art-loving public may enjoy the students’ wonderful original works.  Murfreesboro Mayor Tommy Bragg is scheduled to present awards at 4:45pm Thursday, with each grade level receiving a first, second and third place award.  Additionally, a Best of Show will be awarded and the top three schools with the most wins will also be recognized.

The exhibit and competition are sponsored and presented by the City Hall Art Committee.  Additionally, City School Representatives Leslie Eatherly and Lisa Trail serve as organizational liaisons between city schools and the committee.
