A Hazelwood Drive couple was robbed at gunpoint. Murfreesboro Police responded to the scene Saturday around 9:15pm. The victims said black males approached them outside their apartment. That is when the female victim reported one of the black males put a gun to her stomach and attempted to take her purse. When she refused to give up the purse, she was hit in the face with the pistol. They then took her purse and her cell phone.

The male victim was hit in the face twice by another black male, then knocked to the ground. One of the subjects then took the male victim's keys and then fled the scene.

The robbers got away with about one-thousand dollars in cash, a cell phone and other personal contents in her purse.

The victims report one of the suspects was tall while the other was short. They reported the gun appeared to be a black, .45 caliber weapon. The subjects fled in a light colored car that had loud exhaust. The female victim was taken to the emergency room for treatment for her injuries. Murfreesboro Police are investigating the armed robbery.
