For the 5th time a Woodbury man has been arrested for "Driving on a Revoked License." The suspect was pulled over in Murfreesboro on Tuesday night.

When the 31-year old was stopped for a registration violation, he advised police that he had "Lost his driver's license fishing at the Flat Rock over the weekend." The man told police his name was "Ace Barrett," which later turned out to be a lie.

Police went along with the story and ran a warrants check on "Ace Barrett." A hit came back and officers informed the subject that he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The man quickly changed his tune and told police his real name was Jeffery A. Edwards. However, the news did not get any better for Edwards with his sudden name change.

Edwards told police that he gave a false name because his driving privileges were revoked. A second check with dispatch showed that this was the 5th time he had been stopped for driving on a revoked license. Edwards was also charged with "Criminal Impersonation" for telling police his name was Ace Barrett when first pulled over. He was also served an "Attachment Order."

An attachment order is typically served when a court order requires an employer to make deductions directly from the debtor's income and these deductions are then paid to the creditor.

Edwards will face the charges in court on January 26, 2016. As of Wednesday, Edwards remains behind bars in Rutherford County.
