The American Heart Association has selected Jeff Jordan of Murfreesboro as the winner of its 2012 Lifestyle Change Award for Rutherford County.

The award is given annually to those who have made positive changes to their lifestyle, such as exercise and healthy eating, to become more heart-healthy.

Jordan will be honored at the Rutherford Heart Walk this Sunday, October 28 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center, 1700 Medical Center Parkway. Festivities begin at 1 p.m. and the Heart Walk starts at 3. For more, visit www.rutherfordheartwalk.org.

WGNS listeners will remember the great coverage Jeff did of local sports. Prior to retiring, he took listeners to the ballgames with radio for almost three decades.  Not only was he able to paint such a clear word picture of the action that you felt you were actually at the game, but Jeff truly always cared about helping the students.
