Heroin overdose on Stoney Meadow Drive in Murfreesboro

On Sunday, police and paramedics responded to a home on Stoney Meadow Drive in Murfreesboro for an unintentional drug overdose. Once at the home, they found that one person was already conducting CPR on the man who overdosed.

The son of the man told emergency workers that his father has a problem with heroin. Seconds later, the father awoke and admitted to using heroin, which he allegedly overdosed on this past Sunday.

Both a needle and a spoon were collected by police and logged into evidence. However, no charges were filed.

The 52 year old man who overdosed was transported to Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital for further treatment and evaluation.
