Former Blue Raider In Second Round of the Rogers Cup

UNIPREX STADIUM, Montreal - Former Blue Raider Fred Niemeyer will face Roger Federer in the second round of the Rogers Cup on Tuesday night.

Niemeyer, played at Middle Tennessee from 1994-97 and remains one of the most decorated players in Blue Raider history.

Niemeyer defeated No. 39 Igor Kunitsyn of Russia 7-5, 6-2 in a one hour and 22 minute match. A native of Sherbooke, Que., Niemeyer will retire at the end of the season.
