Around 3:00 o'clock on Sunday afternoon, December 28, 2017, a 21-year old man told police that he was crossing East Vine and North Church Street, when a silver vehicle rounded the corner and struck him. The victim is a Mr. Richard Howell.

The victim told police the car was possibly a 4-door Nissan Altima.

Police reports show that after Howell was hit, he landed on the hood and slid off. The victim suffered injuries to his right side and areas around his waist. Howell said the vehicle drove away after he was struck.

Howell is a Westmoreland, Tennessee resident and if the driver of the car is located, they could be charged with leaving the scene of an accident.
