70 years after her horrific ordeal, Middle Tennessee Christian School was pleased to host noted speaker and Holocaust survivor Charlene Schiff, who spent nearly 3 years evading capture by Axis forces in the region that is now the Ukraine. Though not native born, Schiff says she is very much now a proud American, and from this tragedy, Schiff has forged, with steely resolve, a mission statement, which she shared with the nearly 1,800 students in attendance, to make sure the future generations preserve everyone’s individual freedoms and rights to decency.
