An man, claiming to be a cop, forced his way into a Bentley Street home here in Murfreesboro early this (Monday) morning. The victim, Shakista Davis, told authorities she woke up around 2:30am to someone kicking in the front door to the home. She told police a black male when she went to see what was going on, the suspect was at the top of the steps, identified himself as a police officer and told her to get on the ground. That's when Davis went back to her bedroom and called police. She told authorities she heard other voices, leading her to believe there were others inside the home. The only thing that was taken was a pack of cigarettes. The door was also busted, where the suspect kicked it in. M-P-D arrived at the home just minutes after the home invasion and a K-9 search ensued. The suspect did get away, but no one was hurt.
