A robbery was reported near the Walmart on Old Fort Parkway on the 9th of this month. Two male subjects reportedly assaulted a man at a homeless camp that is located directly behind the store in a patch of trees. The victim, who is homeless himself, suggested that several other homeless men asked him for money and when he told them he did not have any he was assaulted. The suspects denied any wrongdoing in the matter and no arrests were made. The 56-year old man who was said to be assaulted was transported to the hospital to be medically evaluated, but no injuries were documented in the report.
