A homeless Murfreesboro woman was arrested after she was accused of stealing a truck. The truck in question was said to be parked at Ideal Storage at 2425 South Church Street.

41-year old Mary Ann Poteete evidently turned herself in, but claimed the owner of the vehicle allowed her to use it. However, she later denied making that statement. The police report stated, "The keys were left in the vehicle by accident."

A warrant for "Theft over $1,000" was filed for Poteet and she was apprehended at the Pilot Gas Station on South Church Street.

Poteet, who is now living behind bars, will be in court on January 15, 2014.
