Man Accused of Driving Car Into Wife and Step-Daughter

August 12, 2009

In LaVergne, a man by the name of Darrin Farris Logan allegedly ran his vehicle into his wife and step daughter. The domestic incident occurred this past Friday on Anna Gannon Drive. After the assault, Logan allegedly fled the scene and was eventually pursued by police. Authorities had to use a dart loaded taser gun on Logan after he finally stopped his car ironically at the same location where the assault was reported. Police claim that Logan was resisting arrest and that was why the taser was used.

The 43-year old suspect now faces two counts of aggravated assault and one count of resisting arrest. Additional charges are pending as police are awaiting blood alcohol tests to determine if Logan had been drinking prior to incident that involved a motor vehicle.

The wife and step daughter are still recovering. They were treated and released from Stone Crest Medical Center in Smyrna. The two had several abrasions after being hit by Logan’s vehicle.
