Murfreesboro Police headed to North Walnut Street in response to a robbery on Wednesday morning shortly after midnight. Once on the scene it was learned that a man delivering food for the House of Hummus was the victim in the crime.

When the food delivery man rang the doorbell at the house in question, there was no answer. As he walked towards his vehicle to leave he noticed a black male wearing all black with his face covered near his car. The subject was also armed with a handgun.

As the robbery unfolded, the robber put the gun to the delivery drivers head demanding both his money and the food from the House of Hummus. The victim handed over both and attempted to take the gun away from the man, but the struggle was short lived as the culprit took off on foot.

At this point, an arrest has not been made. The case is under investigation.
