As deer hunting season gets into full swing, Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency is urging hunters to be careful where fire is concerned.

The agency reports already they've battled several fires due to the extremely dry conditions across the state.

They urge hunters to not build a campfire or watching it closely to make sure the area they use doesn't have a lot of dry leaves and debris that could catch quickly.

Also, they urge muzzleloader hunters to be aware their firearm can get hot and they should be careful when laying it on the ground.
