I-24 Wreck Injures TDOT Workers; Westbound Shutdown

A wreck on I-24 has seriously injured two T-DOT workers and shutdown westbound lanes at the Rutherford - Coffee County line. It happened Thursday afternoon at mile marker 99. The T-DOT workers were responding to a crash in Rutherford County when a tractor trailer ran onto the shoulder and hit the workers. They were taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center in serious condition. I-24 Westbound, heading into Rutherford County, is shut down and is expected to be until at least 7pm. Traffic is being diverted at Exit 105.
