We have another case of a local person's identity being stolen and along with it, their income tax return. Murfreesboro Police report a 62-year old Avellico Circle man received an email from his accountant stating his income tax return had been denied because another return has already been filed. It was filed in his name, with his Social Security number and birthdate. Authorities advised the man to check with his bank and credit card company to make them aware. These cases are hard to investigate and bring suspects to justice.
