For this story of human interest, we travel down the street to Manchester...

Have you ever wondered what a horse could do to a truck if the two collided? Well, that happened on Wednesday in Coffee County and luckily, the man driving the truck was not seriously injured.

Just before 3:00pm Wednesday afternoon, a horse was struck by a Coffee County man driving a pickup truck. The truck was heading south on Fredonia Road, when a horse apparently stepped out in front of the vehicle.

The driver of the truck was sitting up in the back of the ambulance and seemed to suffer minor injuries. The pickup suffered severe damage in the accident. The horse died from the injuries received in the crash. Coffee County Sheriff’s Deputies worked the scene. Again, the good news is that the driver was not seriously injured, but the horse was not so lucky.
