Turner officials plan to paint a beam with their logo on one end and MTSU’s logo on the other, and they will set the beam at that time.

Please note that the ceremony is not open to the general public. The Turner-sponsored event will be for a general gathering of 276 on-site workers, the Turner team, joint venture designers (Thomas Miller & Partners LLC/Hastings Architecture Associates) and for MTSU and Tennessee Board of Regents officials.

Additional information about MTSU’s $147-million Science Building will be provided to you on Friday. Barring delays, the 250,000-plus square foot structure is expected to open in spring 2015.

Media parking will be available in the Walker Library loading zone.

The event location is adjacent to Alumni Drive. It can be reached via Baird Lane near East Main Street.
