It wasn't incredibly hard for Smyrna Police to track down an alleged thief who reportedly stole an iPad and TV's. Smyrna Police worked with Murfreesboro authorities to make an arrest several days ago.

When officers arrived at the Center Pointe Drive home, they were given permission to search the property by lease holder Scott D. Miller, age 44.

During the search, two televisions reported stolen in a residential burglary in Smyrna were located along with a stolen iPad. In fact, a police report stated that the iPad was tracked to the address in question because of anti-theft software that had previously been loaded on the tablet computer.

Miller was charged with "Theft over $1,000." He will answer to the charge in General Sessions Court on March 17, 2015.
