A 21-year old Killarney Drive man is in jail, facing charges of aggravated animal cruelty. Eric Michael Lee-Knox allegedly swung a cat around, in the air by a belt, which was wrapped around its neck. The cat was killed. Police were called to the 300 block of January Street, where the alleged incident took place. In a report to police, Lee-Knox said he was unsure if the cat had rabies and a child that lived in the home was allergic. He'll appear in General Sessions Court on May 29th to answer to the animal abuse charges.
