La Vergne Carjackers / Kidnappers ARRESTED

The Saturday (1/13/2018) night carjackers and kidnappers from an incident in La Vergne have all been arrested and are behind bars.

As you recall, around 5:30 Saturday evening, a motor vehicle was stolen from the gas pumps at the Mapco located at 588 Waldron Road in La Vergne. The owner of the vehicle was inside the business, while his 13 year old daughter waited inside the vehicle.

Three black males went into the Mapco store and were seen on surveilance video, then they went outside and drove away in the red 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche that was getting gas at the pumps. The trio fled the location with the juvenile victim still inside.

A short distance away, the suspects ordered the juvenile out of the vehicle by threatening to shoot her.

With the prompt assistance of the media, all three suspects were identified, located and with the assistance of the Metro Police Department were arrested by La Vergne Police Department officers within 3 hours of the press release being issued.

Arrested were 18-year old Estifanos Kumssa. He was charged with Carjacking, Kidnapping, and Theft of Property over $10,000. Kumssa's bond was set at $125,000.

20-year old Demetri Williams was charged with Carjacking, and Theft of Property over $10,000.00. His bond was set at $85,000.

18-year old Jaymes Greer was charged with Carjacking, and Theft of Property over $10,000. His bond was $85,000.

Again, all suspects have been arrested and are in the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center. The stolen vehicle was recovered and the 13-year old child is safe and at home.
