La Vergne Police were called to the area of Plantation Drive and Hurricane Circle after reports of an armed man running through neighborhoods.

They searched for a white male wearing black pants and no shirt, believed to have been armed with a gun and knife.

La Vergne High School was placed on a code yellow lock down for a time, as a precaution. The incident is not related to anything or anyone at the school.
