The City of La Vergne will honor the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday, January 21 at 10:00 a.m.  The remembrance ceremony will take place at City Hall located at 5093 Murfreesboro Rd.

“This is our first ever ceremony honoring one of the greatest leaders of the civil rights movement,” said Jeff Marler, director of Parks & Recreation. “We would like to invite everyone to stop by City Hall to be a part of this inaugural event.”

City offices will be closed on January 21, but doors will be open during the remembrance ceremony. Light refreshments will be served following the event.
