This Thursday, the Tennessee Housing Development Agency will present a $500,000 HOME grant to LaVergne Mayor Dennis Waldron.

Senator Bill Ketron and Rep. Mike Sparks will be on hand to help THDA present Mayor Dennis Waldron with a ceremonial check. The City will use the funding to make repairs for local homeowners who cannot afford to bring their homes up to code.

Federally funded HOME grants are awarded by THDA to nonprofits and municipal governments on a competitive basis.
