A court case involving a woman who fell in a county owned parking lot in 2009 is headed back to court. The victim in this case was walking to her vehicle parked in the Lane Agri-Park parking lot when she stepped into a hole next to the curb in the asphalt. The woman claimed the parking lot was poorly lit and the lot itself was not properly maintained. In Circuit Court Rutherford County denied that there was a hole in the parking lot or that their parking lot was unsafe. The court will now move forward to a trial court. As far as the damages sought in this particular case, a figure has not been released.
