Why not make your retirement years unique and fun? When Linda and Mike Stuart retired last July (2014), they sold everything and bought two bicycles. Since that time, those wheels have rolled 5,064 miles.

A flat tire was the hand of fate that caused Paul and Becci Bookner to meet them. That flat tire was in front of the Bookner's home on Thompson Lane.

Prior to these fun days, Mike's working life was confined to a cubicle where he was a financial analyst.

Linda was a school teacher, who loved her job. We asked her what excites her most about their biking adventure . . .

They started in Saratoga, New York, went down through the Finger Lakes, into Maryland, then D.C., on down through the Outer Banks, and ultimately for winter in the Florida Keys. As spring arrived, they headed to the Sunshine State's panhandle, over to New Orleans, then north to the Volunteer State with an unexpected stop in the 'Boro.

Mike noted they want to travel through Mexico, Central America and on down--then fly to New Zealand.

Mike said, "I we ever get tired of riding, we'll stay longer at some stops. And maybe one day, we'll buy a bed and breakfast, possibly in Europe, and enjoy life there."
