The Middle Tennessee Christian School held their 57th annual steak dinner on Thursday night. During the event, photos from years past were featured along with a speech by the MTCS Alumnus of the Year for 2017.

MTCS 1995 graduate Adam Coggin was named the Alumnus of the Year and stated, "Everyday at Middle Tennessee Christian School, the seeds of the Gospel are being sown and miracles are happening as the vision of the Lord is made to manifest in the hearts and lives of young people."

Looking back, the first MTCS Steak Dinner was held in 1960, two years before the school accepted their first students. MTCS operated as an elementary school with kindergarten through eighth grade until 1975. The first senior class at the Christian School graduated in May of 1979. The school has grown tremendously since the first classroom in 1962.

The mission statement at MTCS is, "Our mission is to provide an education based on Christian values and academic excellence in a nurturing environment that will prepare students to become responsible, productive members of the home, church, and community."
