It was not the breakfast of champions that police found inside several cereal boxes at one Murfreesboro home on Stoney Meadow Drive…

Police knocked on the front door of the house in question after smelling marijuana emitting from the garage of the home. While conducting their so called “Knock and Talk,” the person who said he lived at the home evidently lied to officers about his true identity. It wasn’t until police stepped inside the residence that he revealed his real name as Deadrick D. Evans. Police met with several other occupants in the house and asked 23-year old Evans if they could search the home. Surprisingly, Evans granted police permission to search the house that sits at 2020 Stoney Meadow Drive (Murfreesboro).

Inside the home officers noted in a report, “He granted consent to search the residence which revealed several cereal boxes filled with marijuana.” Evans was charged with the marijuana possession and also served two local warrants filed in Murfreesboro and a third warrant filed in Smyrna. One of the more serious charges that Evans will face in court on August 13th is a charge for maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of selling narcotics. He was also charged with the felony possession of a schedule six drug (the marijuana in question).

Also arrested with Evans and charged with felony marijuana possession was 23-year old Desmond A. Moses and 23-year old William H. Nance, Jr.
