Man Accused of Trying to Break Baby's Neck in Court

The 35-year old Murfreesboro man arrested and charged with attempted second-degree murder after allegedly assaulting a small baby on November 28th is in court this week. The reported offense on the baby occurred in the parking lot of Middle Tennessee Medical Center. Glenn Allen Climer, Jr. allegedly acted as if and suggested he was going to break the neck of a 13-month old baby that was in his care, in front of police. When officers saw Climer grab the baby by the head, officers, with the help of Middle Tennessee Medical Center Security, wrestled the baby away from Climer. Climer was charged with attempted second-degree murder, attempted aggravated child abuse, resisting arrest and assault on a police officer. Climer is on trial and a jury is hearing the details of the alleged abuse.
