A Southridge Boulevard man in Murfreesboro was arrested after allegedly breaking the rear window out of an ex-girlfriends vehicle with his fist. 26-year old Christopher Howard and his ex-apparently got into a disagreement when his ex saw him and a new female friend leaving a restaurant together. The argument was apparently over Howard not providing the ex with enough money to properly care for their child, according to a domestic violence report.

When Howard struck the rear window, small fragments of glass cut a three year old who was sitting in the back seat of the car belonging to his ex. Therefore, Howard was charged with not only domestic assault for reportedly grabbing the arm of his ex, but also child abuse / neglect. The culprit was also charged with public intoxication and domestic vandalism.
