Man arrested after receiving a pound of marijuana / hash shipped by FedEx

Police arrested a Tomahawk Trace resident after gaining knowledge that drugs may have been delivered by way of FedEx to a local address.

Officer J. Watson of the Murfreesboro Police Department got word that the package in question was likely sent to a home on Holston Drive in Smyrna. It was then discovered that 28-year old Rocky Phrachaleun of Tomahawk Trace in Murfreesboro headed to the residence in Smyrna, grabbed the recently delivered box and drove back to the 'Boro. It is not known if the man knew the person or persons who live in the Holston Drive home.

Police made contact with Phrachaleun during the evening hours after looking further into the case. The suspect was arrested at his place of work on Singer Road. When police arrived, the mysterious box was sitting in his vehicle parked outside of his place of employment.

Phrachaleun admitted to picking up the box from the home in Smyrna and actually allowed police to look inside the box. Officer Watson wrote in his report, "Upon opening the box, I was able to recover approximately 1-pound of marijuana/ hash between a glass jar and an air sealed bag." As a result of the findings, Parachaleun was charged with the manufacturing of - or the delivery of a schedule six drug.
