Man Arrested on Public Intoxication Charges Twice in 24-Hours

A Unionville man arrested in Murfreesboro on October 5th was rearrested for the same offense hours later. The 31-year old suspect was arrested on a public intoxication charge and several hours after the first arrest he was released from the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center and then re-arrested at Cannonsburg Pioneer Village on the same charge.

Police say when they approached the subject he was attempting to eat ice cream out of a cup, but was spilling it all over himself. The culprit told police that prior to drinking, beer he huffed gas. The man was unable to stand on his own. He was charged for a second time within 24-hours with public intoxication.
