After a hit and run crash was reported in Murfreesboro on NW Broad Street at Memorial Boulevard in recent days, police tracked down their reported culprit. 44-Year old James Richard Coffelt was apprehended shortly after the person he allegedly ran into followed him.

The complainant told officers that Coffelt rear-ended him and then fled the scene. The accident victim decided to follow Coffelt until police could make contact with him. While the accident was only minor, the charges that followed are quite serious.
