Man Convicted of Smyrna Rape Charged with White House, TN Murder

image A bizarre story out of White House, Tennessee has local ties. Apparently, a man who was convicted for a rape that occurred in Smyrna has now been charged with homicide in Robertson County. Jackie Dillon, who was sentenced on a rape conviction in 1992, allegedly set fire to a home where a woman’s body was discovered several days ago. Dillon is a registered sex offender and has been convicted on burglary charges in the past.

The motive behind the fire and the murder has yet to be announced. The victim was the homeowner, Marla Abel.
